As an employer, it encourages excellence, recognition of people, and responsibility.* *The Faculté des sciences sociales et politiques* *(SSP* *) of the Université de Lausanne is holding a competition for the position of:* Professor of education through sport in social sciences within the Institut des sciences du sport Start date: 1st August 2027 or to be agreed Workplace: Switzerland, Lausanne, Campus de Dorigny Contract duration: associate professor: 6 years renewable, assistant professor in PTC: 2 years renewable 2x2 years. After 4 years, an evaluation procedure with a view to tenure as an associate professor is initiated (Management Directive 1.4 on conditional pre-tenure "tenure track") Activity rate: 100% L-Institut des sciences du sport (ISSUL) is the main center of l-UNIL for teaching and research in the interdisciplinary field of sport sciences. It brings together experts in human and social sciences (history, psychology, management, sociology) and life sciences (physiology, biomechanics, medicine, molecular biology) within the Olympic capital. Main missions: *Teaching (45%)* This will involve ensuring 6 weekly hours of teaching per year in French: A teaching release of 2 weekly hours / year is granted during the pre-tenure period in case of engagement at the level of assistant professor in conditional pre-tenure. The title holder will ensure the supervision of Master's dissertations and Doctoral theses. *Research (45%)* The title holder will develop their own research work in the field of Education through sport (disciplinary orientation: social sciences). Given the needs of the institute, psychology profiles are not a priority/expected. The research of the title holder will lead to publications at an international level. It is expected that the person be affiliated with one of the research centers of the Faculté des Sciences sociales et politiques and integrates within the Institut des sciences du sport (ISSUL). The title holder will proceed with the search for external funds, notably from the Swiss National Science Foundation (FNS). *Administrative responsibilities (10%)* In accordance with management directive 1.13, members of the teaching staff are called upon to assume administrative tasks within their unit, their faculty, and the university. For the faculty, these tasks concern: participation in commissions and decision-making or representation bodies. *Desired profile* • Doctorate in sport sciences or social sciences or a title deemed equivalent ; • University teaching experience ; • Proven research in the field of Education through sport, disciplinary orientation: social sciences ; • Excellent integration into international scientific networks ; • Ability to attract external research funding ; • Good knowledge of French and English, oral and written ; • Ability to teach in French within 2 years.
