Your profile:

• Education at a hotel management school HF/FH or a comparable business administration or hospitality training
• Several years of experience in the operational management of several gastronomy or hotel businesses or in a comparable management function
• Experience in the leadership and development of employees
• Entrepreneurial thinking and a pronounced understanding of business administration contexts
• Very good understanding of numbers and enjoyment of working with key figures
• Independent, structured, and solution-oriented way of working
• High initiative, organizational talent, and the ability to set priorities correctly
• Confident and winning appearance as well as pronounced communication skills
• Readiness for regular travel within Switzerland and occasional weekend assignments
• Very good German skills; English and French skills are an advantage
• Broad gastronomy network and residing in the St. Gallen region is an advantage
• Enjoyment of gastronomy, of people, and of a dynamic environment

Your tasks:

In this versatile function, you will take responsibility for the operational management and further development of our businesses in the Eastern Switzerland region with a focus on Rapperswil. At the same time, you will work closely with the central company management in Basel and support them with overarching organizational, operational, and strategic tasks.

• Operational management, support, and control of the assigned businesses with a focus on profitability, productivity, and quality
• Analysis of business administration key figures and derivation as well as implementation of suitable measures
• Ensuring budget compliance and consistent pursuit of the jointly defined goals
• Support the executive management with operational, organizational, and strategic topics
• Independent assumption of projects and special tasks as well as their implementation and coordination
• Recognition of optimization potential and active further development of processes and structures
• Observation of current trends and creative implementation of suitable concepts and ideas in the businesses
• Conducting employee appraisals, training sessions, and information events in the region
• Support in the recruitment of employees as well as ensuring our training standards
• Active operational support and management of a business in emergency situations or as holiday cover
• Regular exchange with the executive management and weekly assignments in the Basel region including strategy discussions
• Representation of Berest AG towards employees, partners, and other stakeholders
