Scientific Advisor (Jurist)

This is how you can contribute

• Ensure legal advice for the National Research and Innovation division of the SBFI
• Advise internal and external bodies on all legal matters regarding national and international research and innovation promotion, particularly in administrative, contract, and procedural law
• Within the framework of a pool of jurists, provide legal information on the Federal Act on Research and Innovation Promotion (FIFG) as well as assess national and international issues
• Contribute to a sound understanding of the legal and statutory foundations of the research and innovation actors within the competence area of the SBFI (in particular SNF, Innosuisse, academies, and research institutions of national importance)
• Advise the State Secretary in ongoing legal proceedings and reviews regarding research and innovation promotion

What makes you unique

• University degree (Master or Doctorate) in law
• Excellent knowledge of the Swiss research and innovation landscape
• Sound knowledge of the legal processes of the Federal Administration as well as the legal foundations of the actors in the research and innovation system
• High level of independence and enjoyment in collaborating with different stakeholders
• Very good active knowledge of two official languages as well as passive knowledge of the third official language
