PLC PROGRAMMER/AUTOMATION ENGINEER (M/F)
SHAPE THE FUTURE OF BIOPROCESS AUTOMATION

As part of our interdisciplinary research and development team, you will design and develop automation software solutions for the next generation of bioprocess automation products. You will take responsibility for software architecture and implementation in the areas of PLC and HMI and create maintainable, scalable, and reusable solutions with a strong focus on quality and long-term sustainability. In close collaboration with scientists and engineers from various disciplines, you will contribute to shaping innovative products, introducing modern development methods, and driving technical excellence from concept to market launch.

YOUR CONTRIBUTION

• Design and development of maintainable, scalable, and reusable automation software solutions in SCL (IEC 61131-3) with a strong focus on quality, testing, validation, and long-term sustainability
• Collaboration with automation engineers, scientists, mechanical engineers, and electrical engineers to develop robust automation concepts and implement requirements into effective solutions
• Creation of intuitive and modern HMIs in close collaboration with our UX/UI designer
• Configuration of automation hardware, support in system integration, and performance of commissioning
• Investigation of complex technical challenges, performance of root cause analyses, and driving sustainable solutions
• Creation of technical specifications and active participation in decisions regarding system and software architecture

YOUR PROFILE

• Completed technical education in the fields of automation technology, electrical engineering, computer science, mechatronics, or a related field (HF/FH, university) or equivalent practical experience with proven success in PLC programming
• Sound experience in PLC programming, ideally in Structured Text (IEC 61131-3)
• Experience with Siemens TIA Portal and WinCC
• Experience with mechatronic systems and process control is an advantage
• Familiarity with version control systems such as Git and with software development best practices
• Strong analytical thinking and excellent troubleshooting skills
• A structured, independent, and solution-oriented way of working
• Strong communication skills in English; German is a significant plus
• Experience in bioprocess automation and project management is an advantage.
