With us, you will take on responsibility, shape architectural decisions, and contribute your own ideas. What awaits you ### • Together with the team, you are responsible for the stable operation, engineering, and further development of our Oracle and PostgreSQL database platform, both in daily business and in projects and releases. • You work on the further development of our database and data warehouse platforms, on the migration from Oracle to PostgreSQL, and on the expansion of our database platforms in the Azure Cloud. • You support the team with automation, performance analysis, scripting, monitoring, and logging. • Infrastructure as Code is an integral part of our way of working: You actively develop our automation and infrastructure standards. Together, we drive topics such as declarative infrastructure, versioned changes, and reproducible deployments - with tools such as Ansible, Terraform, and CI/CD pipelines. • You support the further development of our Data Warehouse with GoldenGate and DataHub and contribute to further automating manual processes. • Exchange and further development are important to us: You regularly have the opportunity to attend user groups and manufacturer events. • A strong team awaits you: 3 other DBAs and 8 Linux Engineers work together with close technical exchange and short decision-making paths. • We speak CH-Mundart & Deutsch and are in the office in Luzern at least 3 days per week. • You work in a self-organized environment with a lot of creative freedom, flexibility, personal responsibility, and trust. What you bring with you ### • Several years of experience in the operation and engineering of Oracle or PostgreSQL databases. • Enthusiasm for modern platform and cloud technologies. • Experience in automation (e.g., Bash, Python, Ansible) and pleasure in improving things sustainably. • A structured, independent way of working, quick comprehension, and a high standard of quality. • Analytical thinking, conceptual strength, and a solution-oriented approach. • IT training or comparable professional experience. • Very good German skills (company language) as well as the ability to confidently understand English documentation. Nice to have / Your development potential • Experience with Infrastructure as Code, CI/CD, and declarative systems. • Automation with Ansible Automation Platform, GitHub Actions, or Chef. • Infrastructure provisioning with Terraform (On-Prem & Azure).
