Tasks

Aeronautical maintenance polymechanicians are highly sought-after professionals with many employment opportunities. You will take charge of the inspection, maintenance, and repair of aircraft and their components, working in close collaboration with other specialists directly on the aircraft as well as in the workshops.

1st and 2nd year of apprenticeship

Basic training in the apprenticeship workshop exempt from SWISS TechOps inter-company courses: you will acquire a solid foundation as a polymechanic with an emphasis on manual, conventional, and CNC-controlled manufacturing as well as the assembly of mechanical and pneumatic units.

3rd and 4th year of apprenticeship

Specialized training in aeronautical maintenance at SWISS at the Zürich-Kloten airport

In general

• 1 to 2 days per week of theoretical training at the Bülach vocational school
• Possibility to attend the professional baccalaureate school (BMS)
• Possibility to obtain the EASA Cat. A aircraft mechanic license during training

After 4 years, you will complete your training with the CFC - and will be perfectly prepared for an exciting future in aviation.

• Diploma of completion of compulsory schooling (cycle A or B) with good results
• Job shadowing internship completed as a polymechanic
• Manual dexterity and technical interest
• Passion for technology as well as for the English language
• Reliability, sense of responsibility, and team spirit
• Stress resistance as well as availability for teamwork during the 3rd and 4th year of apprenticeship

Note: an internal aptitude test will take place during the application process.
