Your tasks <br /> • Leadership: You will lead the Langenthal regional office professionally, personally, organizationally, and operationally with a team of educational counselors/school psychologists and secretariat staff. • Basic services: Together with the team, you will ensure the wide range of counseling services for child, youth, and school psychological basic care in accordance with the cantonal mandate. • Counseling & treatment: In addition to management work, you will counsel and treat children, adolescents, their families, and caregivers regarding diverse child and youth psychological issues. • Networking & development: You will work closely with schools, school supervision, as well as other cantonal and regional partners, and engage in specialist committees on structural and developmental issues in the field of education and training. <br /> Your profile <br /> • Professional foundation & leadership: You have a Master's degree in psychology at university level as well as ideally the diploma of the Canton of Bern in educational counseling-school psychology or an equivalent training/experience. Furthermore, you have leadership experience or are motivated to acquire leadership skills. • Further qualification: Knowledge of the Bernese school and education system as well as a specialist title in child and adolescent psychology or psychotherapy FSP are an advantage. • Personal competencies: Your personal characteristics include high resilience, ability to reach consensus, and negotiation skills. You have strong oral and written communication skills and bring experience in teamwork. In hectic moments, you succeed in maintaining an overview. The Amt für Kindergarten, Volksschule und Beratung of the Bildungs- und Kulturdirektion manages the areas of Kindergarten and Volksschule, the cantonal Erziehungsberatung as well as the recognized music schools and the school supervision of the German- and French-speaking parts of the canton. The cantonal Erziehungsberatung supports and advises parents, children, and adolescents as well as all persons and institutions tasked with the upbringing and education of children and adolescents regarding questions and difficulties in the development, upbringing, and schooling of children and adolescents from early childhood until the end of training at secondary level II.
