Head of Social Advisory and Member of the Executive Board (80-100 %)

Pro Senectute Kanton Luzern actively promotes the independence and quality of life of senior citizens. As a non-profit organization, we support people of retirement age and their relatives with central services in the areas of social advisory, fiduciary+taxes, help at home, municipality/project advisory, as well as education+sport. The current job holder will take over the chairmanship of the Executive Board from March 2027. As part of this succession arrangement, we are looking for a committed leadership personality for the functions of Head of Social Advisory and Member of the Executive Board (80-100 %) ## Shape the future of social advisory with us Social advisory is one of the central offerings of Pro Senectute Kanton Luzern. Around 25 employees at the locations Luzern, Emmen and Willisau, as well as at the Dementia Information Point, advise and accompany older people and their relatives in various life situations. As Head of Department, you bear the personnel, professional, and financial responsibility for this important area. At the same time, you are part of our four-member Executive Board. Your tasks • You lead the Social Advisory department and develop it together with the employees with a view to social changes and the future needs of older people and their relatives. • Direct leadership of the heads of the advisory centers in Emmen and Willisau, the head of the Dementia Information Point, and the Social Advisory team in Luzern. • You are responsible for the budget, resource planning, reporting, and target achievement of the department. • You ensure high professional quality and promote the development of employees. • To a limited extent, approx. 10%, you undertake your own social advisory sessions and thus remain close to practice and the needs of our clientele. • You maintain and further develop cooperation with municipalities, authorities, and specialist organizations and are responsible for service agreements and contracts. • As a member of the Executive Board, you share responsibility for the overall organization and participate in strategic issues, organizational developments, and cross-departmental projects. What you bring with you • A degree in Social Work at tertiary level or a comparable qualification • Further training in leadership, management, or organizational development • Several years of professional and leadership experience, preferably in the social, health, or non-profit sector • Joy in leading people, developing employees, and shaping changes together • The ability to combine professional, personnel, and business management issues • Strategic and networked thinking as well as a good understanding of organizational and financial contexts • Convincing communication and a confident appearance towards employees, authorities, municipalities, and other partner organizations • Interest in social and socio-political issues surrounding old age • An independent, responsible, and solution-oriented way of working What you can look forward to You will take on a versatile leadership task with responsibility and scope for design. As a member of the four-member Executive Board, you will act beyond your own department and take on co-responsibility for the operational development of Pro Senectute Kanton Luzern. In doing so, you combine operational proximity with strategic influence.
